Charles R. Jufer Fitness Center Adult Membership Registration

The Charles R. Jufer Fitness Center is a state-of-the-art fitness facility that offers a variety of exercise equipment and weights to meet all of your fitness needs. Locker rooms with showers are available to members. A CPR/AED certified supervisor is on duty at all times when the fitness center is open to the students and community.

Monday - Friday 5:45 - 7:00 a.m.
and
Monday - Thursday 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Please make checks payable to the Wilson Central School District.
- Membership year begins on July 1 and ends on June 30.
- Proper gym etiquette and attire are required.
- Please sign in every time and change footwear during rainy/snowy days.
- Please clean up after yourself and put weights away.
- Please be respectful of others.
- During community hours, no children under 15.
* The Fitness Center will be closed at any time when the district is closed due to holidays/weather.

Hall Walking
The halls of Wilson Elementary School are open for walking! What better way to exercise than walking! Get out and get active! Whether you enjoy a brisk walk or leisurely stroll, this is the perfect setting
Please wear comfortable clothing and good, comfortable walking shoes or sneakers. You may bring a water bottle, or water fountains are available. This exercise is designed for all ages and levels.
Hall walkers must register for each session for security purposes.
There will be no hall walking on 1/20/25, 2/17/25, 2/19/25, 4/14/25, 4/16/25, and 4/21/25.
Yoga Barre

Yoga Barre is a fun and functional way to create a balanced body, mind, and spirit. Utilizing principles of yoga, ballet barre, pilates, strength training, and dance allows for the complete integration of fitness modalities for well-being. Empower your body and mind with this 30-minute yoga-barre hybrid workout. This class will leave you feeling deeply invigorated, energized, and grounded.
Please bring a water bottle, yoga mat, and light weights to class. The class will not meet on January 20 and February 17.
ZUMBA®
with Amanda Vincek
This class is perfect for everybody and every body! Each Zumba® class is designed to bring people together to sweat it on. We take the "work" out of a workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you'll see why Zumba® Fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise. Super effective? Check. Super fun? Check and check. A total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility, boosted energy, and a serious dose of awesome each time you leave class. Get a full-body workout while forgetting you’re even exercising by joining the Zumba dance party!
Please wear sneakers, comfortable clothing, and bring a water bottle to class. The class will not meet on January 20 and February 17.
Mastering the Fundamentals of the Golf Swing

Golf is a sport that offers relaxation, recreation, and a sense of accomplishment when done right. The key to a great golf game lies in the mastery of the golf swing. This course delves into the art and science of the golf swing, with an emphasis on building a solid foundation for your game.
Here's what you can expect:
- Introduction to the Golf Swing: We'll begin by exploring the basic concepts and principles behind the golf swing. Understand the mechanics, terminology, and key components that make up a good swing.
- Grip and Stance: Learn how to grip the club and establish the correct stance. A solid grip and proper alignment are critical for consistency and accuracy.
- Body Posture and Alignment: Discover the importance of body posture and alignment in achieving a consistent, repeatable swing. We'll cover setup and pre-swing routines.
- Swing Plane and Arc: Master the art of the swing plane and the ideal arc for striking the golf ball. Achieving the right plane can significantly impact your shot quality.
- Weight Transfer and Balance: Understand the significance of weight transfer during your swing. Achieving balance between your backswing and downswing is crucial for power and control.
- Putting and Chipping: Learn key components of these basic strokes that will lead to lower scores.
- Drills and Practice: Put theory into practice through hands-on exercises and drills.
Please bring a 7-iron, a pitching wedge, and a putter to class.
Beginner Line Dancing
with Mary and Bill Morgan
Get your friends together for eight weeks of Beginner Line Dancing with dance instructors Bill and Mary Morgan. No experience is necessary and no partner is needed. Two left feet…no problem! Ages 18 through 100+ are welcome! You will learn between 6-12 dances in this class. This class is great exercise and loads of fun - no pressure! Relieve stress, gain confidence, socialize, and meet new friends! You’ll be amazed at your progression from week to week and feel a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction as to how “cool” line dancing can be!
Worn-out sneakers or leather shoes are recommended with a sole that will slide. Written dance sheets will be provided.
The class will not meet on April 15.
