Intro to Quilting

with Marie Walters

$170

Have you admired a quilted item and wondered how it was made? Still trying to figure out where to begin?  This course is just for you. In this class, you will learn the timeless art of quilting.  During this eight-week course, new quilters will be introduced to techniques including using a sewing machine, accurate fabric cutting, and using quilting tools to make a beautiful quilt from start to finish. Your expert instructor will guide you in creating a small quilt featuring two easy blocks that create a new, secondary pattern when combined. Two simple blocks add up to a lap or baby quilt that can be finished during class with minimal homework required. These fundamentals will open you up to the wonderful world of quilting. By the end of your course, you will have a wonderful finished quilt to take home!

Required supplies to bring to class:  Sewing machine, thread, ruler,  rotary cutter, notebook, and pencil.  Additional supplies may be needed as the class progresses.

The class will not meet on October 14  and November 11.
