Charles R. Jufer Fitness Center Adult Membership Registration

The Charles R. Jufer Fitness Center is a state-of-the-art fitness facility that offers a variety of exercise equipment and weights to meet all of your fitness needs. Locker rooms with showers are available to members. A CPR/AED certified supervisor is on duty at all times when the fitness center is open to the students and community.

Hours: 

Monday -  Friday 5:45 - 7:00 a.m. 

and

Monday - Thursday 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.

Please make checks payable to the Wilson Central School District.

  • Membership year begins on July 1 and ends on June 30.
  • Proper gym etiquette and attire are required.
  • Please sign in every time and change footwear during rainy/snowy days.
  • Please clean up after yourself and put weights away.
  • Please be respectful of others.
  • During community hours, no children under 15.

* The Fitness Center will be closed at any time when the district is closed due to holidays/weather.

ZUMBA®

This class is perfect for everybody and every body! Each Zumba® class is designed to bring people together to sweat it on. We take the "work" out of a workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you'll see why Zumba® Fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise. Super effective? Check. Super fun? Check and check. A total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility, boosted energy, and a serious dose of awesome each time you leave class. Get a full-body workout while forgetting you’re even exercising by joining the Zumba dance party!

Please wear sneakers, comfortable clothing,  and bring a water bottle to class. The class will not meet on October 14 and November 11.

Hall Walking

The halls of Wilson Elementary School are open for walking! What better way to exercise than walking! Get out and get active! Whether you enjoy a brisk walk or leisurely stroll, this is the perfect setting

Please wear comfortable clothing and good, comfortable walking shoes or sneakers. You may bring a water bottle, or water fountains are available. This exercise is designed for all ages and levels.

Hall walkers must register for each session for security purposes.

There will be no hall walking on November 28, 2024.

Fall Cookie Decorating Class with Christine

You will enjoy spiced cider for sipping, conversation on the season's happenings, and a fresh, warm pie to take home! This show-stopping pie deserves a place on your Thanksgiving table.

Intro to Quilting

Calendar Next session starts Sep 23, 2024 at 6 pm, runs for 8 weeks

Have you admired a quilted item and wondered how it was made? Still trying to figure out where to begin?  This course is just for you. In this class, you will learn the timeless art of quilting.  During this eight-week course, new quilters will be introduced to techniques including using a sewing machine, accurate fabric cutting, and using quilting tools to make a beautiful quilt from start to finish. Your expert instructor will guide you in creating a small quilt featuring two easy blocks that create a new, secondary pattern when combined. Two simple blocks add up to a lap or baby quilt that can be finished during class with minimal homework required. These fundamentals will open you up to the wonderful world of quilting. By the end of your course, you will have a wonderful finished quilt to take home!

Required supplies to bring to class:  Sewing machine, thread, ruler,  rotary cutter, notebook, and pencil.  Additional supplies may be needed as the class progresses.

The class will not meet on October 14  and November 11.
